The Samoa Audit Office joined with other government Ministries and Public Entities in a government prayer service on Friday 8 January 2021.
The prayer service was held in the Government Prayer House at Palisi, to close the government's week of fasting and prayer and to seek the Lord's guidance and protection as Samoa approaches cyclone season.
The government has been holding a week of fasting and prayer annually, with 2021 being the 31st year.
Chairman of the National Council of Churches, Deacon Kasiano Leaupepe led the gathering of leaders in Government with the theme "let it shine". The sermon beseeched government leaders and public servants to be a light of righteousness to the people of our nation.
The event was well attended by several members of the Diplomatic corps, Cabinet Ministers and heads of Ministries, members also of the National Council of Churches, and a full house of public servants from various government departments and public bodies.
