The Controller and Auditor General, Fuimaono Mata'afa Papalii C. G. Afele and the Assistant Controller and Auditor General, Muaausa Marshall Maua of SAI Samoa, attending the XXIV International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI), from November 7 -11, 2022 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

INCOSAI meets every three years. It is the supreme organisation of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and is composed of all members. The meeting was organised by the INTOSAI and chaired by the Federal Court of Accounts – Brazil (TCU), the Brazilian Supreme Audit Institution (SAI). 

Finally after two years of travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all INTOSAI members got the opportunity to meet and share experiences, discuss issues, pass resolutions and recommendations to improve government accountability worldwide.

The XXIV INCOSAI is guided by two main themes: “The work of Supreme Audit Institutions in the face of public calamities” and “Global voice, global outcome, and far-reaching impact”.

At the 76th Meeting of the Governing Board of INTOSAI that took place, made know the announcement for the re-appointment for Mr Fuimaono Mata'afa Papalii C. G. Afele as the representative of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) to the Governing Board of INTOSAI in the next few years.
